Four weekly meetings on Tuesdays, November 18 and 25, December 2 and 9, 2025, from 1PM–4 PM

Size: Minimum of 5 students, maximum of 8

Level: Open/All Levels

Portrait work demands a quick grasp of gesture, shape, and proportion: these are the keys to capturing the character of any individual portrait subject. Learn how accurately recording colors and shapes leads to a likeness. We will complete one portrait study in each class. Participants work in oil, pastel, or charcoal from the live model. A supply list for your chosen medium can be found at rappisiart.com or upon request from the Academy Art Museum.
