Drawing Class: Intro to Charcoal DrawingFour-week Class: Tuesdays, September 8, 15, 22 and 29, 5:00 – 7:00 PM
This introductory drawing class uses charcoal, a medium known for its versatility and painterly qualities. It is softer and less edgy than pencil, giving the drawing a quiet solidity. The basic tenets of shape, proportion and value will be addressed in this class. Participants will work from a new still life set up each week. All levels are welcome.

Bio: Diane Rappisi trained at Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia, and is a Master Circle member in the International Association of Pastel Societies (IAPS), a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America and the Maryland Pastel Society, and an elected member of the Oil Painters of America and the Salmagundi Club in New York. She has won numerous awards and presented demonstrations and workshops at various arts organizations across the US, Australia and New Zealand. Diane runs a studio gallery in Chestertown, MD.
