Drawing for Beginners: Learning to Use Line and Value

Size: Minimum of 5 students, maximum of 10

Level: Beginner/Open

This class will teach beginners and more experienced artists how the fundamental principles of drawing support a work of art. The class teaches essential skills—such as line, value, and perspective—and will guide participants from creating simple line drawings to producing more complex and realistic artworks. The class will cover the use of graphite pencils, ink pen, and charcoal, as well as other media of interest.
