This course is a great place to either start your painting practice, or to brush up and fill in gaps in your knowledge base. We’ll look at the progressive nature of the drawing and painting process.  We begin with setting up for success and building a strong foundation, and then move on to incorporating color. Discussions include gesture, shape, value, color relationships and problem-solving. We will work from life from a still life setup each week. Please be prepared to work in either oil or pastel; having the full set of recommended colors will enable you to mix the broadest range of colors. All levels are welcome. (Session I is NOT a prerequisite; participants can register for either Session I or II, or both.)
