Painting Class: The Portrait from Life
Four-week Class: Tuesdays, Nov 24th, Dec. 1st, 8th and 15th, 10:00AM–2:00PM 

The keys to capturing the character of a portrait subject are a quick grasp of gesture, shape, and proportion. Please be prepared to start a new portrait each week. Participants work from the live model using oil, pastel or charcoal.

Cost per Session: $250(Members) / $295 (Non-Members)

Bio: Diane Rappisi is known for her color and figure work. She trained at Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia, and is a Master Circle member in the International Association of Pastel Societies (IAPS), a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America and the Maryland Pastel Society, and an elected member of the Oil Painters of America and the Salmagundi Club in New York. She has won numerous awards and presented demonstrations and workshops at various arts organizations across the US, Australia and New Zealand. Diane runs a studio gallery in Chestertown, MD.
