vine charcoal or a pencil for sketching

soft pastels (not oil pastels) – set of 60 or more.  Rembrandt sets of half-sticks are a good basic brand

roll of Viva paper towels

Papers: For beginning students - Canson Mi-Teintes papers, 4 - 6 sheets size 19 x 24 (felt gray, flannel gray, sand, etc. - no white or buff colors)

For ongoing students: we will be working on different colored grounds including blacks and vibrant colors. You can buy Canson Mi-Teintes papers or any of the sanded papers in different colors. I will also bring paper to sell.
