drawing board or foam core for backing on easel

small sketch pad for studies

vine or willow charcoal, soft (few sticks)

soft pastels (not oil pastels) – set of 60 or more.  Rembrandt sets of half-sticks are a good basic brand (new students - check with me before buying pastels)

chamois

kneaded eraser

Canson Mi-Teintes papers, or any of the textured papers – Wallis, Art Spectrum, etc. (class will work in size 11 x 14 or larger)
