Vibrant & Versatile: Intro to Gouache

One Day Workshop: Saturday Aug 8, 2026  10:00am-3:00pm

Learn the basics of this wonderful medium! Students will do various combinations of color swatches from a limited palette of color, learn different applications and techniques. Various simple landscape images will be provided or feel free to bring your own to practice creating smaller works. You will learn to love this velvety medium that is a favorite among travelers.

Bio: Abby spent her youth abroad as the daughter of a foreign service officer, living in Poland, Germany, Russia, India and Greece. She earned a BA in Fine Art at Rollins College(Winter park, FL) and furthered her studies in Graphic Design at the Corcoran School of Art(Washington DC).After a career in advertising design, she returned to her love of painting. She is active in plein air events and competitions and is passionate about teaching at various venues along the East Coast.
