Collagraph Printmaking: Texture, Collage & Found Materials
Two-Day Workshop: Saturday, July 25th & Sunday, July 26th, 10:00AM–2:00PM
Discover the playful, hands-on world of collagraph printmaking - collage based prints with found everyday recycled materials come together to create rich, expressive, textured prints. In this workshop, you’ll build your own printing plates using simple found materials and layered surfaces, transforming cardboard, fabric, paper, and other reclaimed items into beautifully textured works of art. We’ll explore both additive and subtractive techniques, showing you how to layer, carve, and build surfaces that print with depth and character. Along the way, you’ll experiment with how different materials hold and transfer ink, discovering how each surface brings its own personality to the final print. This process is flexible, forgiving, and environmentally friendly—making it an accessible and rewarding introduction to printmaking for artists of all experience levels.
